Who Should Attend? PDF Print E-mail

Established in 1955, the Institute in Water Pollution Control is the longest continuously running Environmental Engineering professional course in the United States. The week long program is designed for personnel involved in the design, operation and management of treatment facilities or the quality and modeling of natural waters. Consulting engineers, regulators, academicians, industry, public health and municipal personnel, both young and experienced professionals will profit from the up-to-date scientific knowledge and engineering approaches to water quality modeling and treatment that is offered. In our 55 year history, over 2500 people have attended. An undergraduate degree in engineering or science, or a working knowledge of environmental issues is desirable. Professional Engineers can earn up to 28 professional development hours toward renewal of their P.E. license. Other professionals can earn up to 28 PDHs for the complete course.


Free parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the Leo Engineering Building.

Lecture Halls

Lectures will be conducted in the Leo Engineering Building and the Research & Learning Center on Corlear Avenue between W. 238th and W. 240th Streets. Lectures will be held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 in air conditioned rooms.
